Champions League, semifinals – second round: Arsenal and Manchester United will meet tonight at the Emirates Stadium in London in the second round of the semifinals. The winner of these two matches will be the first finalist of the 2009 Champions League.
In the first round Manchester won for 1-0 thanks for a goal of John O’Shea. Wenger and his youth talents have to win tonight, avoiding to let in a goal.
The Gunners confirms the line up of the first round except for one player; Wenger could try to enforce the attack by letting play the young danish Nicklas Bendtner with Adebayor. Bendtner will play instead of Robin Van Persie.
Sir Alex Ferguson should confirm the line up who won at the Old Trafford with Rooney on the left wing and Tevez forward. A possible alternative is to exclude the Argentinian letting play Rooney forward supported by Ryan Giggs on the left. Anderson is preferred to Scholes in the midfield.
The probable start of Arsenal – Manchester United:
- Arsenal: Almunia, Sagna, Djourou, Tourè, Gibss, Walcott, Denilson, Nasri, Fabregas, Bendtner, Adebayor.
- Manchester United: Van der Sar, O’Shea, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Ronaldo, Carrick, Anderson, Rooney, Tevez.
