Transfers: Cristiano Ronaldo is now officially a Real Madrid player. Manchester United accepted a record bid of 80 million English Pound (around 93 million Euros).

Cristiano Ronaldo, Golden Ball 2008 and world wide famous star of Manchester United, achieves his dream to play for Real Madrid. The fresh president of the “merengues” Florentino Perez, right after taking Kakà from AC Milan, is building back the myth of the “Galacticos”. The details of the agreement between Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid are not yet known, but the 93 million Euros that will be paid to the Manchester are a new record in the history of the transfer market; exceeded the Zinedine Zidane’s cost of deal between Juventus and, again, Real Madrid.

Manchester United announced the deal on their website:

At the request of Cristiano – who has again expressed his desire to leave – and after discussion with the player’s representatives, United have agreed to give Real Madrid permission to talk to the player. Matters are expected to be concluded by 30 June. The club will not comment until further notice.

The fresh former number 7 of the Red Devils, was already close to a transfer to the merengues last summer, but Manchester rejected all the offers coming from Madrid. This year by the way, after winning again the Premier League and reached the Champions League Finals, lost against Barcelona, Cristiano Ronaldo has decided to move to Spain. Both him and Real Madrid will try to remove the scepter from Barcellona. It shoudn’t be a mission impossible with both Kakà and Cristiano Ronaldo ready to wear the camiseta blanca.
