EURO Championship
European football championship: the UEFA Euro football championship are played every four years among all the European national teams.
The last edition of the Championship, EURO 2008, has been won by the Spain, after an impressive series of victories.
The next Championship, EURO 2012, will be played in Poland and Ukraine, from the 9 June to the 1 July 2012, day of the final match.
20 teams will join the final phase of the Euro 2012 (14th edition of the tournament) that will win the qualifying groups. Eight are the cities that will host the competition: Warsaw, Pozna, Breslavia, Danzica in Poland and Kiev, Donetsk, Lviv, Kharkiv in Ukraine.
The draw for the qualifying groups of UEFA Euro 2012 will take place in Warsaw on February 2010. Qualifying matches will start on September 2010 and end on October 2011.
Germany has the greatest number of titles, with 3 victories, followed by France with 2. Italy won only once, in 1968, and in the last edition, the World Cup Champions have been eliminated by Spain in the quarter-finals.
