Hattrick guide, part II: first things to do as new managers

Hattrick guide: also in the hattrick world, like everywhere, time is money. Setting up the team, training and establish the goal is very important to succed in the game.

Before to do that, there is a more important thing to do: take the manager certificate. To do that you should read the hattrick manual and answer to some quizzes correctly. Pass the quizzes (not very difficult) will make you earn some money and have the access to all the operations. If you don’t do that, funds will be limited to 250.000 $ (instead of 500.000) and the line-up settings will be limited.

Let’s go over considering that you have already passed the quizzes. Every week there are three moments that every manager should remember:

* On tuesday you play friendly matches or cup matches.
* On friday you know the results of the weekly training on your playrers.
* On saturday there is the Tournament match.

At the beginning of every championship, teams play the national Cup on tuesday: this is a single match. Who win get the access to the following matches.
Usually the team that is a member of a lower serie, play home. (this is a good occasion to gain some money).

Once you are eliminated by the Cup (it usually happens very early at the beginning) you should organize friendly matches on tuesday.
The reason is the following: only players who play get the weekly training. The more they will be, the better will perform your team.

In order to organize a friendly match you just need to click in the “My Club” menù, then “Challenges”, then “Add my team to the group”. The computer will do everything for you. Otherwise you can search some team (e.g. some of your friends) and ask him to accept a friendly match.

Another basic thing to do is to look at your players. You should immediatly know which are the player that you should keep and the ones not useful for you.

Every player is identified by 8 different skills (in bold the most important):

* Stamina
* Playmaking
* Scoring
* Winger
* Goalkeeping
* Passing
* Defending
* Set pieces

The range of values of the skills goes from 20 (divine) to 0 (non-existent):

divine
utopian
magical
mythical
extra-terrestrial
titanic
supernatural
world class
magnificent
brilliant
outstanding
formidable
excellent
solid
passable
inadequate
weak
poor
wretched
disastrous
non-existent

The higher will be the skill, the greater will be the value of the player in a precise role.

IMPORTANT: order your player by age. Between the younger (under 20) have a look on their best (principal) skills. Basing on this you should choose your training.

To set the training go on My Club – Training and choose the preferred one (I suggest one between Defense, Scoring, Playmaking and Goalkeeping), the Training level (100%) and the Stamina training share (between 12 and 18%).

If you don’t have enough money (take a look to your Finances) don’t change the Coach. Otherwise it is so important to take one (Change Coach – External Recruiting) with the following carachteristics:

* Neither attack nor defence-minded
* Poor leadership
* Solid

It costs: 268.700 $ or £ (the best way you can spend your money)

These are the basic advices to WIN on Hattrick. It is important that you quickly understand all the rules and the tricks.
