Italy, Germany, Denmark, Serbia and USA gain access to World Cup final phase

World Cup 2010 South Africa Qualifying: at the Croke Park Stadium in Dublin, Italy played a dramatic game and reached the final phase of the South Africa World Cup. The team coached by Lippi equalised in the last minutes against Ireland and gains the necessary point for qualification.

Ireland coached by an historical italian Team Manager, Trapattoni, scored twiced and for two times lost a chance to keep open the race for the primacy in Group 8. Camoranesi first, Gilardino 2 minutes before the end, fixed the result on 2-3.

Italy qualified to the 2010 World Cup one match before the preliminary phase together with Denmark, Germany (who won against Russia), and Serbia. Serbia is the suprise of this phase. They won today 5-0 versus Romania and condemned France to the play-off.

In the other conferences, Cote d’Ivoire, Mexico and USA reached the final phase as well. Argentina won at the last second thanks to Martin Palermo who scored at 92′ and gave hope to the fans and not only them (i.e. Coach Maradona).
