UEFA European U-21 2009 Championship: in the first game for the Italian team in this competition, the young players coached by Casiraghi finish the game 0-0 against Serbia.
Italy-Serbia: at Helsingborg Casiraghi choose an offensive Italy. The forwards are Giovinco, Acquafresca e Balotelli. After 10 minutes Giovinco tries a good shot, deviated in corner. Serbia is a good team, precises and with a good ball possession. Balotelli tries also to score but the goalkeeper stop him.
In the second half Serbia plays better, especially in the midfield. Casiraghi substitutes Balotelli with Abate, but Serbia has two incredible chances. The first at 73′ with Tomovic. After a while the goalkeeper Consigli is very lucky on a bicycle kick tried by Kacar, the goalpost stops the ball. The game ends with a draw.
In the other match of the Group A, Sweden wins 5-1 against Belarus. Sweden is the next Italy’s opponent, next Friday June 19th at 4.00PM.
