2010 World Cup South Africa: on 4 December 2009, in Cape Town is going to be carried out the final Draw for the 2010 World Cup, where the 32 teams will be splitted in the 8 groups of the final phase.

Only 2 days ago we knew the complete list of the 32 teams who are going to join the South Africa in June 2010 to run for the title of World Champions. These have already been divided in 4 pots that will be splitted in 8 groups.

The four pots of the World Cup 2010 Draw:

  • Pot 1 (top seeds): South Africa, ITALY, Brazil, France, Argentina, Spain, Germany, England.
  • Pot 2: Netherland, Portugal, Slovenia, Greece, Switzerland, Denmark, Slovakia, Serbia.
  • Pot 3: Algeria, Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon, Nigeria, Ghana, Paraguay, Chile, Uruguay.
  • Pot 4: Japan, Korea DPR, Korea Republic, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Honduras, United States (USA).

South Africa is automatically placed in Group A, since they are going to play the opening game, as hosts of the tournament on June 11, 2010 at the Soccer City (First National Bank Stadium) in Soweto, close to Johannesburg.

To this edition of the World Cup joins all the teams who won at least one title of World Champions, hence this is announced to be a very competitive competition.
